We had a lovely 2 night stay, enjoyed the bar/pool area, the spa and dining as well as spending a day at the fantastic zoo attached to the property. Staff were polite and helpful, rooms spotless, breakfast and dinner very good and not overpriced. Recommended for every age!

Spacious room with great decor, wonderful balcony, comfortable bed, great range of toiletries and a lovely modern bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty. Everyone did everything to make our stay amazing. Waterhole view room was an absolute treat seeing the animals go for a drink at their pleasure. The restaurant was great and buffet breakfast was perfect with real coffee included. Can’t believe we have this amazing park 40 mins from the city of Adelaide, we will be back.

The web site photos do justice for what to expect. As soon as you walk in the staff are warm and wanting to help you. The Amenities were clean and modern. We also toured the Monarto Zoo which was another highlight of our trip. Do yourself a favour and enjoy this wonderful place and experience.

Breakfast was excellent all round. Staff were great, more than ample choice of cereal, juices and hot food. Toaster was a bit slow! Only disappointment of whole stay was the evening meal menu - could not buy a steak or a schnitzel! Limited choice - we didn't go back the second night. Up market fine dining not really our cup of tea! Some more basic options would have been better.

We were particularly impressed with the hotel staff, who were obviously very well trained in hospitality, and with the cleanliness of our room. The restaurant and breakfast food was good. Best of all was the twilight safari operated by Monarto Safari Park staff. Our biggest suggestion for improving the resort experience is that the car park is moved to the side of the hotel so that people with rooms facing the car park have something more attractive to see. We also suggest that walking tracks around the hotel are constructed. It’s a wonderful environment for walks.

Check in was disappointing. Was told numerous times checking was at 3pm , which I knew. Reception didnt offer to hold 1 suitcase whilst we had lunch & waited for check in. Reception told us there was no 'shuttle' from resort to park. Was requested to show reception where it mentions shuttle bus on website. I found this extremely rude & condescending. I found proof & showed reception. I didnt receive an apology. I was fortunate enough to be able check in before 3pm.

This review is just about the resort not the safari park, which was really good. We had a number of problems, which weren't very well dealt with. While transfers from the Resort to the Park were fine, getting back wasn't good. The first time we needed a transfer, it took so long, the park staff were about to give us a lift. The second time, the transfer just didn't turn up so after more than 30 minutes waiting, the park staff did give us a lift. The AC was also a real problem. The weather was cold so we put it on heating at a fairly low temperature but it just kept getting hotter and hotter. We switched to cooling at a warmer temperature and the reverse happened. We reported it and somebody supposedly did something but it was exactly the same the second night. We stayed at three other nearby hotels in the same weather and didn't have the problem at any of them. There were also minor issues. There were no dressing gowns, there were only one each of the decaf and chocolate pods and our part-used soap and milk were replaced with new ones which is very wasteful. The plague to modern hotels, a flat bottomed basin, means a real waste of water. Breakfast was reasonable but not very well arranged. On the positive side, the room was dark and quiet, the beds were comfortable and it was great to be able to see animals from the balcony.

Amazing three nights in a Savannah room. Could see the hippos from our balcony plus various other animals. We heard the lions roar one morning. Sitting in the bar or by the pool over looking the water hole was incredible. Giraffes and Zebras were so close.
