We were told upon arrival that our room was ready — yet were refused access unless we paid an additional $50 to check in before 4:00 pm. Charging guests extra for a room that is already prepared is not just unreasonable, it is exploitative.
At the same time, we were warned to check out by 11:00 am or face a further $75 charge for a short extension. The combination of these policies feels less like hospitality and more like opportunistic upselling at every touchpoint.
What is completely unacceptable, however, is the condition of the room itself. It was filthy. Not “slightly off” — genuinely dirty. Bathroom floors, corners, and overall cleanliness were neglected to a level that should never be seen in any hotel, let alone one charging these rates.
We complained immediately on the first day and were assured the room would be re-cleaned. It wasn’t. It was returned in essentially the same condition, showing a complete disregard for both hygiene standards and guest concerns.
This is not a minor service lapse — it reflects a fundamental failure in both management and basic hospitality principles.
