There was a power outage overnight the first night we stayed here. Upon realizing that in the morning, because there was no hot water, I tried to contact the manager. It took over an hour for her to respond and all she could tell me was that she couldn't get ahold of her handyman. After 2 hours of waiting with no update from the handyman, we left. I asked for a refund but was refused and I was accused of causing the power outage because I must have plugged in a North American device. This is impossible because North American devices use a completely different electrical configuration. I used 1 adapter that worked flawlessly throughout my trip in the UK, including at Waterloo House because the outlet it was plugged into, continued to work even after the outage that affected the kitchen and bathrooms.
Some other issues with the place worth mentioning are that the instructions given for things like the TV, Netflix and the thermostat are out of date or at least don't match how the actual devices work. Also, this place is located in Hyson Green which is not considered a very nice neighbourhood. Our taxi driver even mentioned it. The worst thing we noticed was being woken up in the night to some drunken shouting.
