The property wasn't even available despite the fact that I reserved it months in advance. I don't know if this was Expedia's fault or the hotel's, but this is ridiculous. Not sure that I will use Expedia again.

Through no fault of Expedia the hotel was under construction and did not let Expedia know - I found out when I called the hotel to let them know I would be checking in late that I would have to “find somewhere else to stay” due to construction. Lack of communication by this hotel should make everyone weary to book there. I have a relation who manages hotel reservations through third party and she confirmed they definitely could have contacted me.
