Good location at Adua

It was a cozy stay and the staff were friendly. The place is just a short walk from the train station and the surrounding areas are restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Overall, it is value for money.

not worth the money

Filthy and nasty with crushed musqitios with blood stains on the wall. no refill on toilet paper in the shared bath room. worn down and all rooms in bad shape.

Although this was one of the most affordable options, the stay was not cheap and we were expecting at least a nice place to stay. I’m pretty sure we got bedbugs from the room. Additionally the bathrooms had a terrible smell and I was not sure the last time they were cleaned. It was supposed to be smoke free but the downstairs foyer smelled like smoke. At the end of our trip, the power kept going out just in our area. Although we appreciated that the hotel let us shower in the main hotel (as there was no hot water due to the power outages), it seemed like there was no urgency nor responsibility for the issues we faced.

Hotel rooms are not cleaned regularly. Congested rooms only with 3feet small beds, full of bed bugs around, black fungus everywhere. No cleaning, no fan, no AC, windows broken, rooms full of mosquitoes. Matress almost 100 years old. Reception and management make false promises, no one present at hotel to talk to when in emergency or to complaints. I strongly recommend all, to consider health and safety of you and kids, and avoid avoid this at all costs a I checked out in 2 days due to safety issues, still waiting for refund which was promised but hotel don't bother replying. Someone need to contact police to close this hotel, as it's running by someone in Rome, not willing to talk to customer. Pathetic, worse stay of my life.

Simples mas funcional.

Em uma cidade como Veneza, com preços altos de acomodação, o Adua é uma boa opção econômica. O acesso é fácil, já que está a poucos minutos da estação de trem, não precisando atravessar pontes com mala. Mas atenção: não há elevador no local e você terá que carregar a bagagem em uma escada estreita e íngreme. Nosso quarto tinha uma banheiro externo, o que foi uma preocupação no momento da reserva, mas isso foi bem tranquilo, pois ele ficava a uns 5 metros, estava sempre limpo e era utilizado praticamente apenas por nós (pela planta do local , vimos que nos outros quartos há banheiro privativo). Nosso quarto em si tinha duas camas de solteiro, edredons, cobertores e toalhas ok. Eles fornecem um repelente de insetos (desses de colocar na tomada), já que ao lado tem um jardim bem bonitinho, mas se deixar a janela aberta entra pernilongo. Uma parte da parede (perto da janela) precisa de cuidados! Na rua do hotel há lojas e restaurantes variados. No momento do checkout desceram nossas malas até a rua (grazie mille) e seguimos para o ponto de onde saem os ônibus pro aeroporto. Simples mas funcional para orçamentos apertados.

Happy to stay again

Really easy to get to from the station, on our favourite side of town, run by nice people and clean. It’s basic but it’s as per the photos and I’d say great value for being in Venice.

2 Star Expectations

Hmmmm, where to start....... Service: Best part of the stay. The front desk man was very nice and approachable. Location: Super close the the train station (5min) and bus station (30 min). Awesome location in general. Comfort: We got a room with a private bathroom. Bed was dated, but comfortable. Cleanliness: Like others have mentioned, there were some squashed mosquitoes on the walls. There is some mold on varies places.The furniture, curtains, etc look like originals. Overall: This place is a 2 star hotel. Curb your expectations as such. If the plan is to venture out during the day and only come back to sleep you are golden. If you want to spend any time in your room, spend the extra 100 bucks or so to spend a night at a nicer hotel.

The Adua was very close to the train station and super convenient to go anywhere in Venice. It’s just a bit old and run down but big queen bed and clean. Not many places to put down your toiletries or hang towels. Real simple and great for a few nights in the city.

4 stars is what this place deserved. It’s an 2 star hotel and has a really nice location to dine at a non touristic restaurant(and thus more authentic food). The area cannaregio is the best for these type of places and has amazing seafood. Hotel itself is okay, we had triple room with shared bathroom. Room was alright, a bit on the small side but I can’t imagine bigger rooms in Venice. We got towels(which I didn’t expect) and keys to the room and building. Everything was explained nice by a really staff member. She was really sweet and answered all our questions. Shared bathroom was okay honestly I don’t prefer it but we and 1 other room were there when we was in Venice so we had no waiting lines. Location is perfect for the food(as mentioned), walking (Venice is really walkable) and if you want to take the boat it’s 5min walk. It’s everything you expect from a 2 star hotel, rooms is what you expect from older building and staff was really sweet! I Recommend it!

The staff was helpful and allowed us to check in early. The best thing about the hostel was the location as it was right in the heart of Venice. It is a beautiful city and very walkable.

DISGUSTING, DO NOT STAY!!!!! the reviews of this hotel absolutely deceived me. i booked last minute which was my fault. the great location, low price, and private room was enticing. however this is the worst hotel ive ever stayed at. BUGS BUGS BUGS!!!! ANTS MOSQUITOS FLIES!!! Dusty lamps! One is even bedazzled by some previous guest. They did not bother to replace it. Gross bathrooms that are not deep cleaned. The grout is stained orange (sign of bacteria) The bath mats look extremely worn. There was a dead smooshed fly on the wall when I checked in. Cleaning service came in after and did not clean this. There was a bottle cap in my room as well after I checked in. When I asked for compensation it was ignored, and was just met with a guy that sprayed the area for ants. Check in was also extremely strange. The guy was clearly in a rush and showed everything to me very quickly. I found it rude and abrupt. I felt like I was chasing him with heavy luggage down the alley and up the stairs. Please if you care about your sanity do not fall for these reviews. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Once we arrived, we learned from the front desk that our room was not even in the hotel, it was in a sketchy side alley. We also learned that the bathroom was not in the room but in an outside hallways shared with other guests! Both these details were not clear when we were booking online.

Não gostei da experiência.

Quando chegamos no hotel, após o checkin fomos levadas a outro prédio ao lado onde ficava o quarto. Banheiro compartilhado com outros quartos. Não tem café da manhã. Não vale o preço. Em Veneza esperava mais. Não gostei da experiência.
