This probably was a nice hotel at one time, but maintenance and upkeep are sorely lacking. The air conditioning is non existent as other reviews also stated. After checking into our room I went to the front desk and asked them how to turn on the air in our room. Apparently you cannot turn it on, up, or down from your room. The front desk person said that she would send someone to check while we went to early dinner. We don’t believe that they ever checked on it as I am sure they get the same complaint all the time. The only way to get air in the room is to open the window, however there are no screens on the windows. Although our room was uncomfortable for sleeping without opening the window, we finally had to close the window as we were being bitten by mosquitos.
The paint above the shower is severely peeling, another sign of poor upkeep.
With the lack of hotel maintenance and care, we surmised that the 8 Euro breakfast may not be all that great either so we had breakfast at a nearby cafe before boarding our cruise ship.
The only reason I did not give this hotel a one star is because the bed was comfortable and I appreciated that the hotel provided info on where to catch the 6 Euro shuttle to the cruise port.
