8.3/10? Really?
I am writing to provide a review for this hotel room. I don’t usually write reviews but the recent disappointing experience made me want to share with potential customers. Here is our experience:
- First of all, the location was the best thing as it was very close to the Pacific Fair Centre.
- However, when we checked in, we found that the room was in an unacceptable state, with visible food debris on the floor and significant grime in the bathroom.
- In the guest bathroom, the cracked, leaking sink posed a safety hazard and potential for water damage.
- We were appalled to find a used towel hanging in the room upon arrival, a clear lapse in basic housekeeping standards.
- The staff's customer service was unsatisfactory. The staff on the first day was nice and helpful and she promised that we can get as many towels as we need (as we have a party of six and we were going to swim). However, the staff on the following day was different: she said she will charge us AUS 4 dollars if we get more towels on top of the towels that we got for swimming. When I said the dirty made me allergic, she respond, “I have allergy too.” When I said there were cockroaches, she said, “I will mark it down.” Basically, she did not seem to be helpful and didn’t do anything to ameliorate the situation
- Worst of all, we discovered 4-5 cockroaches in the kitchen - a major health and safety violation requiring immediate pest control and deep cleaning.
Overall, please think twice before you choose.
