The White Hart Hotel

Disappointing stay here, spoke to lady prior to our visit said my wife had difficulty walking up stairs, got to hotel but allocated a room higher up stairs. Offered another room. The pillows were badly stained and no cases, asked for cases but not laundered. A little more care would make this a better hotel. Fantastic view from balcony, could be great

This place is in serious need of a refurb. Curtains didn’t fit the full length of the windows, there were wires all over the place, they didn’t leave a towel in the room, and the room didn’t smell great. I definitely won’t stay here again.

Really excellent location and stacks of car parking, which was fantastic as a facility. The rooms just need updating.

Disappointing all round. The whole place felt tired and in need of refurbishment. No toilet paper and only one towel for two of us and I had to fetch from reception. No apologies from receptionist for lack of things in room. Towel left from previous guest and dusty room. Kettle failed to boil water. Haven’t stayed in a hotel with lino on bathroom floor for many years. Calcium deposits on radiator valves meant we couldn’t turn it off. TV aerial was though the window so couldn’t shut that - fortunately it was warm so didn’t want shut. Bathroom floor was patched and wallpaper in room was also marked an patched. I appreciate COVID 19 makes things difficult, but room felt grubby And not particularly COVID safe.

Bed really uncomfortable , brick wall as a view out window, no fresh air, fan that didn’t work ,bath old and shabby, stains on wall, broken chair , dirty tea mugs, ripped net curtains...some ladies knickers left on floor from previous guests ......

Old, crap hotel with a lot of refurbish needed everywhere (pub, breakfast room, rooms, terrace, conservatory, pool). Cracked, broken tiles and render. Disgusting breakfast. More to the nightmare, they are not refunding a night because "the accountant is not there" in the past 3 weeks. So please reconsider when choosing this "hotel"

Staff were friendly, but the hotel is a bit run down. My room was right at the top of the hotel, and quite a few flights of stairs to climb to get there. No fan available and the room was very warm at night. They couldn't provide a cooked breakfast, but what was supplied instead was a "continental" breakfast. The breakfast was very poor, repetitive, showing little imagination to what could have been supplied.

Very friendly, helpful staff, when you could find them. Skeleton staff to the extreme, one person manning bar, reception and everything else. Very shabby and tired desperately needs upgrading. Views lovely but ourside area dirty and upkempt. Website not upto date, messages not responsed to. Only told on arrival restaurant was closed Room basic, shower not working. Bar not stocked no chilled prosecco Spa, its not. Pool open but sauna and jacuzzi not working. Pool area shower filthy. Not impressed, went here 10 years ago and enjoyed it but not now. Covid restrictions or not no excuse for bad post lockdown planning and management. Hotel inspector would have a field day. If up to me I would have left and complained but my friend did not want to make a fuss. Hence my review here.

Little improvements here and there would make such a difference.....draught beer in the bar, shower with decent head of water.
