The hotel is unique, historical but updated, and on a block with a few bar/restaurants plus a bar of their own. Our room was clean and spacious (they gave us an upgrade because they weren't fully booked), the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was great. I couldn't give the area 5 stars, however, because the hotel is right next to both a busy street and a railroad line which intersect, making it loud-ish from traffic and very loud when the train horn blows! They did thoughtfully provide earplugs, and we really weren't all that bothered by the noise, but we were surprised by it.
Breakfast was provided, a few basic hot foods and an array of cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. We received drink coupons for happy hour in the bar, but we ended up not using them.
