My family and I stayed at The Holiday Inn Express near Shreveport to attend the Society of Krewe Mardi Gras Parade. Upon arrival, I was informed the elevator was not in service and my room was on the 3rd floor. That night was good, but in the morning, the breakfast service was unable to keep up with the amount of people using the benefit and I had to settle for oatmeal even though there was an hour and a half remaining. The last night after the parade was the worst. For some reason, my door was not opening with either of my key cards. The management on duty tried to open it but lacked the technical skills to do so and we were told to wait for the maintenance man to arrive in the morning. We were given another room to sleep in but our luggage was in the locked room. My wife and I are both diabetic and require CPAP machines to sleep and both of those things were in our locked room. Thankfully, we did not need the diabetes meds for an emergency, but our sleep was horrible without the CPAP. The maintenance man showed up the next morning and had the door open in 5 minutes. The Holiday Inn Management refused to offer any compensation other than an apology. In their opinion, since they gave us another room the situation was square. We slept in the clothes we were to the parade, but that was no concern nor the two and a half hours of them trying to open the door unsuccessfully that night. I understand things happen, but at least attempt to do right.

HORRIBLE STAY 3 hours in lobby, no elevator
On February 21st and 22nd, we had a deeply disappointing experience at your hotel. Our two-room reservation was not ready at the 3 PM check-in time, resulting in a three-hour wait in the lobby. Furthermore, the elevators were out of service, a fact not disclosed until after we had already unloaded our car. This posed significant challenges given my health conditions (knee and hip replacements, stroke, and partial vision impairment). The lack of communication and assistance regarding room availability and the elevator malfunction was unacceptable. I request a review of this matter and a response at your earliest convenience. This was the WORSE stay at Holiday Inn & Suites EVER’n
The statement about the elevators was not given to us until we had our keys already in hand. Space I have a physical disability where I’m unable to walk downstairs. So this inconvenience should have been something that was looked into. I would not have known to ask them about the elevator. This is a serious situation. How does a hotel not inform people of the broken elevators. And also, I was informed that the hotel elevators has been broken for 3 WEEKS!! That’s crazy. I’ve already sent this information to the hotel. I’m looking for a corporate information.
I love Holiday Inn & Suites whether express or regular. I really don’t know the difference. If there is someone that can inform me of a corporate number to contact please send it to me.

Recommend not staying here
(1) Elevator was broken and we were given a room on the 3rd (top) floor. Elevator was inoperative as of 6 days prior according to front desk and I received no advance notice or warning. They were not able to accommodate a request to move to the first floor. Carrying our bags up and down the stairs was not expected or appreciated. No accommodation to assist us with bags was offered. Had I known in advance, I would not have stayed here. (2) Front desk person at check-in had almost zero customer interfacing skills, and treated me like I was interrupting her phone surfing time. Not friendly or welcoming. (3) The room was in disrepair with broken and multiple loose tiles inside the room door, among other things. (4) no towels in the workout room--towels were supposedly provided but not stocked and had to go to the front desk. (5) No water in the water cooler in the workout room. (6) Noisy room (outside and inside noise)

Rooms were not ready and elevators were broke
When we arrived to check in after 4 pm, our room was not ready. There were others in the lobby who also waited over two hours for their room to be ready. This is unacceptable when check in is at 3, the room should have been ready. Also, the elevators were out of service so we had to carry our luggage along with a newborn baby carrier up three flights of stairs. Front desk staff was very polite. The room smelled great and seemed to be cleaned very well. Continental breakfast was great although they were serving cereal but were out of milk. This hotel had one of the best ratings in the area which is why so many guests decided to stay here but they do not have the staff to accommodate this many guests. I probably will not stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel at 645pm and did not get a room until 8pm when check in should’ve been at 3. Also the elevators were out and our room was right by the stair well and heard the door open and close all night

Horrible ‼️
My family and I didn’t stay. After driving 5 hours we get to the hotel and the front desk girl said her supervisor said to not check us in because she tried calling us and she didn’t get an answer. So we had to try to go find another hotel because of this. Horrible I will never book this hotel again.

It was horrible I am being charged for a two night stay . When I had to cut my stay short due to the accommodations of the facility. The elevator didn’t work , there wasn’t a housekeeper and the internet was working it was a mess .

The elevator was out of service and no one said anything until I arrived and I had to go to the fourth floor and then there were loud people in the hall till 4:00am I called the front desk twice and asked them to go up and tell them to go to their rooms nothing happens

Maid service
No maid service other than they did come into our room the last night and take our towels but didn’t bother to leave any, open the shades and turn off AC. Never did anything with bed at all,

Meh
We were charged for a third person but only had 2 towels. Was told they did not have any more towels. Toilet barely flushed, water kept running. Towel rack was lose on the door. Room not “holiday in clean.”Staff were not friendly. Al in all just an ok stay.

Best Hospitality
When we checked in, the front staff was super friendly!! Everyone was kind and helpful! The following morning, the breakfast staff even offered to pack us to-go bags for the rest of our drive!! Everyone went above and beyond!!

The doors to the suites need painting badly, the carpets were not clean. When you opened the light to the bathroom, a very noisy fan turns on, there was only one switch for both the light and fan.
The internet is very bad, you can not do any work on your laptop.
