The hotel is set in an interesting hutong and is wonderful for families. But the rooms are small, so you are giving up some space, and the walls are thin, so the person next door coughing can be easily heard as well as those sitting out in the courtyard. So while the hotel is charming, you do give up some privacy. By the way, they serve eggs at breakfast but they have no pepper in the restaurant. There is salt, but bring your own pepper (as of my visit in Sept. 2013.
