One night in Rye
We were there for one night, room and bed were comfortable, only issue is that like many UK hotels there is no air conditioning so the room is hot at night. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Classy friendly hotel
Attractive and warm hotel with great communal spaces and restaurant and cosy rooms, breakfast is generous and tasty. Perfect location for exploring Rye. Some of the rooms a bit of a walk away, so do check if you have mobility issues.

Great Ambience hotel
Great room, spacious and good comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with good quality food
Nice ambience in restaurant. Food was limited and was slightly expensive plus there were costs for extras like potatoes? Taste of food was good. Beer was expensive in my view £8 lager and &12 for Gin and Tonic - London prices.
I would definitely stay again.
Pleased with Anniversary dessert and general service

Nice stay in Rye
Beautiful rooms. Good facilities. The bed was comfortable. Should’ve had a toilet brush, but apart from that everything was great. OK breakfast, wouldn’t pay to have it included every day but would have tried it first. We found it a bit boring.

Too expensive for what it was
There were spiderwebs in the lamp. Next to the bathtub it was really dirty.
The room
Was a superior double but was really small, with a tini wardrobe.
Considering the price, it was disappointing.
The food was lovely though.

Lovely property .. great location in heart of Rye. We stayed in a cosy room .. it was fab, beautiful decor and great facilities. Great breakfast nice bar. Staff were great but in particular a great duo on reception ( didn’t get names) but a blonde lady so accommodating allowing us to leave bags before checking in, so we could explore Rye and an Australian male that impressed us in returning a missed phone call before arriving and ensuring we had a pleasant stay. Thank you both credit to the George.

Old and interesting property with lots of nooks and crannies, very well decorated and appointed. Central location. V friendly staff. Super food. Only small negative is having to park some streets away but that's because it's in the middle of a very beautiful old town with narrow streets.

What a treasure Rye has with The George. Extremely well located, about a 10 minute walk (albeit some uphill) from the station parking, a lovely old building that's in good condition. We went at low season so Rye was quiet (great for us, albeit some businesses were closed for staff vacations...not a problem), and very walkable. We enjoyed several small pubs which felt very cosy and welcoming in the cooler nights. Strongly recommended.
