Near airport stay

We stayed here as a one night stop before an early departure for Birmingham airport. The place was very functional and had a spacious car park at the rear. We didn’t have time to try their breakfast

A very comfortable stay.

Excellent value for money. Peaceful, well equipped room, good parking. Will return again the next time I’m working in Solihull.

8/10 Very good

Some aspects of the hotel are a bit dated but clean, well maintained and comfortable enough.

Fairly decent stay

it was a decent room fairly clean only issue i had was that the water pump is extremely loud i was woken up at 6am when someone in one of the rooms above was showering other than this it was a decent stay fairly priced for the accommodations i paid %% quid for a twin room for one night

Lovely stay

Very clean hotel, lovely little room. Everything worked perfectly and it was nice and warm. Could have done with an extra pillow as there were only three, but otherwise very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend for a trip to Birmingham as it is right next to the train station, but you wouldnt know as you couldnt hear the trains from the room

Good value

Basic hotel with clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. We did not eat in the restaurant but the menu was on the check in desk and I had a quick look and the prices seemed very reasonable.

The one thing that let's the hotel down was we had to dine out the three nights we were there no dranght beer avaliable and the bottle offering was poor. I would think the meals would be good as the breakfast we fantastic for the price we paid for our stay.

Filthy run down hotel

The whole place is filthy, the bed was clean which was a saving grace as we only needed thr rook for a few hrs before a flight, wooden fixtures rotting and falling apart, writing and marks on wall of room, carpets were absolutely filthy, bathroom the same. Avoid

Our one night stay was fine room quite small and difficult to move around. But it was clean and the beds comfortable Bathroom was in desperate need of repair the bath panel was all broken but the shower worked well and it was all very clean We found the staff to be very welcoming and the breakfast chef was very good and cooked us fresh breakfast even thos we were late

Room was small but clean with window to the front. Clean bathroom with nice shower. Easy parking. Hotel is next to a railway station with trains in to the city but on the Sunday I was there, the last train was around 6pm. Didn’t try any food. It’s a short walk to a high street with Costa, Wetherspoons etc. Asked if late checkout was possible, was offered an extra hour for no charge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is very good for the price.

Cheap and Cheerful.

The overall condition of the Hotel is a little bit run down and tired. It could do with some TLC and redecoration. On our first morning there was no hot water for a shower. However this was rectified promptly once we reported this to the staff. Also between the two of us (in a twin room), for 2 nights it only cost 67.50 each, so not too bad.

Good size carpark and it's free to use. Quick check on all information given. Room was up a flight of stairs, no lift available. The room was a good size for a single person. The bed was very very soft which I'm not a fan of!! Shower was good Wifi ok For the price I paid it definitely was not worth that amount! Location next to the train station and center, lots of nice walks close by. Not sure if I would stay again unless it was cheaper! And a firmer bed too !!!

Not very happy

Pretty upset as I booked it for my parents and they had a rough time. They complained of bugs and insects and had to order a spray to get rid of them. The beds are not in the best condition and it’s a very tired looking place.

We informed the hotel that we would be arriving back from Turkey at 04.00am and asked for the correct dates to book. They told me to book the 18th and 19th and that it wouldn't be a problem checking in early. So that's what I did. After a 4 hour flight back to the UK we drove to the hotel at 05.00. The person at the reception desk said he had no record of the booking. He then checked for the next day and our booking was there. He then initially told me wife and I that we could not book in early and that we should have booked the previous day, but if we did that we would have to vacate the room at 11.00am. We needed longer than that as we were both exhausted. Eventually, after realising that he was really starting to annoy me, he agreed to give us a room, but we would have to vacate by 2.00pm. I also had to agree to pay a late check out fee. My wife and will never go to that hotel again. They were so unhelpful. The room was basic. Tiles were missing of the bath panel and the wardrobe was like something out of Narnia.
Michael, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Very very budget, would not use again.

The room was very small with a bad carpet stain and smell of smoke. The bathroom was so tiny I could barely use it. The hot water came out very hot but heavy brown with rust. The toilet did not flush properly, bed was cheap and smelly, very uncomfortably. Would not recommend.

Meh

Very meh. Found it very cold, until I found out I could turn the radiator on, then it got way too warm. Car park felt quite unsafe. You could hear every sound in the hotel. Decor was dated but fine. Check-in and check out was very quick.
