The most wonderful hotel we have been too
The most wonderful place I have ever been. We have travelled a lot and this is possibly our favourite hotel ever. Unbelievable location, views and the falls … wow. The hotel is amazing food, bar, pool and service impeccable. We were upgraded to a suite which was stunning and they let us check in early and have breakfast as we arrived at 7am.. nothing is too much. If you get a chance go …

Beautiful hotel set in nature
Great hotel - private access to the park is priceless. Lovely facilities, reasonably priced meals at restaurants and lovely staff. Would only recommend for 1-2 nights given the isolated location.

A Gem on the Falls
It is a great property to stay at the falls. It matches the expectation of Belmond. The best part is the location. You can visit falls many times during the day and evening without crowds.

Superb - would love to visit again!
From the minute we arrived around 10 pm until the moment we left, all of the staff were helpful and welcoming. Very traditional hotel but high quality.
Breakfast was very busy but excellent selection of products.
The Falls walk was amazing before the park opened - it really was something special. We preferred this side to the Argentinian side (which we also visited), but I think that may be associated with the crowds.
The hotel arranged several trips for us, we were accompanied by really helpful guides who were adaptable to what we needed. Not stupid prices either.
The hotel bar was brilliant - great staff, fabulous cocktails and really good food. And parrot cocktail stirrers!
The 'breakfast' restaurant was open for a buffet evening meal, and we found that really disappointing.
Spent a couple of afternoons by the lovely warm pool - best club sandwiches ever, and little ice-cream treats.
Busy hotel but still felt we mattered.
Would love to return.

We stayed at Hotel das Cataratas A Belmond Hotel at Iguassu Falls for 3 nights. Great location, can explore the Falls without crowds. All staff was very friendly, very accommodating. Concierge was there for you to accommodate your needs. We arranged pick up from and to the IGU airport through concierge prior our trip. Everything was as promised.

One of a kind property. Truly unique in many ways. It offers you the best (hands down) access to the falls. You are literally steps away, and they arrange mornings walks before the park opens to the public. The property itself is also stunning. Each room in the main building with a charming character. The staff was equally very kind and hospitable. 11/10 recommend!

Excellent service in all areas, especially from Cristian and Francisco at the restaurant and Bruna and Stephanie from the Concierge. The proximity to the falls is like no other but it's not exclusive to the hotel therefore the traffic from buses and tourist services can be very chaotic.

From start to end, the service level of this stunning hotel is excellent. A special shout out to Cesar, who met us at the foyer when we arrived and saw us to our car when we departed. A big thanks to the very friendly Edso from concierge, who took us on our morning walk to the falls. The breakfast was delicious, dinner buffet was one of the best I have had. The efficiency and effort of all the staff at the Belmond should set the standard for all 5-star hotels. The icing on the cake? Iguazu Falls right on your door step. It was an unbelievable experience. Highly highly recommend!

You can’t go wrong with this location. We had a few hiccups during our stay which were mostly addressed however the expectation is that they shouldn’t have happened in the first place for a hotel of this calibre. The app has old information so don’t rely on that for activities around the hotel. Unfortunately a lot of activities are removed during shoulder seasons. We had a mix up with our dinner order and the staff were arguing amongst themselves over our breakfast order so there are improvements to be made in this respect too. There are relatively few vegetarian options for lunch and dinner. Beware of the mosquitoes - they say they don’t have citronella candles but decide to place them where hardly anyone walks rather than at tables when having dinner which makes for a rather annoying dining experience, with lots of other flies ending up flying around and in drinks too. The complimentary guided tour was great as was our room and the breakfast in general.
