A little different checking in with a remote person and a machine, but I have to say that Palmer was very nice and the machine dispensed all information, room card and receipt very well. First time I had a credit card charged $25 for incidentals up front with the promise to refund it later. Normally, the card is held in case it is needed. So far, my stay is good.
They advertised a swimming pool which was shown on the map inside the room door as well. They advertised breakfast, and coffee. The only coffee available was a horrible machine in the lobby, which was horrible. They asked for a 25 dollar fee even though the room was paid in advance which was supposed to be returned on leaving. I will be checking my account for this. Very uncomfortable beds, barely any pillows and few towels.
There is no human staff at the front desk. Everything is done through a kioskâĶ very unfriendly. The carpet in my room was dirty ( I never walked on it with my bear feet). It was stained, holes, rips and so did the chair in the room ( thank goodness I could put the chair in the closet)
The room and hotel were clean and comfortable. There was NO human at the font desk, a computer opened up and did the transaction. We were not told the room was in a back building attached to the hotel, had to go in and ask the computer. Finally got to the room, sat down im the chair and almost landed on my back as the chair just kept leanimg further and further back! Not impressed and wont go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.
