Hairdryer didn’t work, safe didn’t work (and you have to pay to use it). Breakfast is very basic - you even have to help yourself to coffee. Air conditioning doesn’t seem to be functional in many parts of the hotel.
No tea/coffee in the room, we had to request a kettle.
No iron/board in the room. Had to pay $7.50 to iron 2 items for us.
No bottles of water in the room.
When we checked in, the guy said we should park in the public parking lot across the road then move it to McDonald’s at 9am. I was confused but I went it, even though I read they had €7.50 per night parking. Of course I forgot to move it and got a very small ticket, but when I went back to reception to complain/inquire, they said they had about 20 free parking spaces!! And €7.50 per night elsewhere if there wasn’t any space in the free parking. So strange.
Can’t believe this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. The amenities in the rooms are the worst I’ve seen at any hotel. It’s like they’re cutting costs.
Service has been good when we’ve requested what has been missing, but it’s really frustrating to keep requesting things, and it spoils a trip. We did not expect to have to pay additional for water, iron, or safe ( even if they were small amounts).
