This was our first visit to a Sandals hotel. We didn’t really know what to expect, but upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome song by the friendly staff. The room was nice, but the styling felt a bit outdated. The minibar was stacked with drinks and alcohol, however seeing as my wife was pregnant neither of us drank. The entire staff was very friendly and our butlers were very nice and attentive to my wife’s wellbeing. There were two pool areas and we decided to spend most of our time at the calmer one. There seemed to be many activities and happenings around the resort, but we didn’t really participate. The were many different restaurant options and our favourite was Kelly’s were we had both dinner and breakfast. Because of the tide and wind, the water along the beach was unclear. The sun beds at the beach weren’t that comfortable either. I can see why Sandals is so popular. For the traveler looking for all the comforts, meeting new people and participating in activities, Sandals seems like a perfect place. We were however looking for something more calming this time and therefore this wasn’t the perfect match. Finally we would once again like to highlight the staff and their commitment to making sure we had a great experience.
