Our air conditioner was not working in our room on a 92 degree day. The front desk clerk claimed the hotel was full so we could not change rooms. I requested a fan and a partial refund for the inconvenience and the fact that I paid $240 for a room that I booked expecting A/C. The clerk said she’d reach out to her manager regarding my partial refund request.
9:30 PM that evening, I was denied my partial refund and offered another room! That was my original request shortly after check in when they claimed the hotel was full! By that time of the night, my daughter was asleep therefore we did not move. It was an unpleasant sleepiness, hot night!
The next morning at 8:55am a maid walked into our room without knocking and the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on the door. I reported that incident to the front desk upon check out and the clerk told me she had me “checked out” already, that’s why the maid entered my room. I was obviously not checked out as I was standing right there requesting to check out! I was not even offered an apology. Terrible customer service; not even a simple ,
“ I’m sorry for the misunderstanding”.
