Hotel of horrors
Upon arriving, the outside of the hotel was in disrepair and trashy. We were approached to purchase drugs! Inside appeared a little better. I was on the second floor. The hall walls appeared freshly painted and the hallway carpeting looked good. The hotel clerk was indifferent and not helpful. We asked where we could go to eat, he said that he does not give recommendations. Due to the casino being near the lobby, there was a lot of men milling around. My daughter and I felt unsafe. Anyone could have followed us to our room and did anything to us.
The room was unpleasant. Lights above the bed didn’t work. The furniture was old and needed to be replaced. It did appear to have been dusted and vacuumed. When I pulled out the drawers, they fell apart. I put them back in and didn’t use them,
The bathroom was awful! Mold, sloppy maintenance work, and cigeratte burns on the counter top as well as cracks in the sink.
The mini fridge was so full of freezer ice, that it rendered the freezer portion unusable.
2.5 stars is too high. 1 star might be more appropriate.
