18th-centary villa Hotel

A lovely old hotel full of history with a facinating garden and a great swimming pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed, as we stayed this time after the season, but I have tried it at previous visit. Excellent service with a smiling and helpful staff. We had room 216 with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Good restaurant and bar. Nice breakfast. Quiet location only 15 minutes drive from Venice airport. One of my wife's favorite hotels in Italy.

The evening desk manager was very welcoming and was worried we hadn’t eaten because we arrived late but the restaurant was closed so himself and the restaurant manager put together a beautiful cold dish. It was very welcoming and a pleasant experience. The grounds and history of the building is absolutely breathtaking.

While the structure and decor still reflect its former glory, the lack of maintenance is evident in worn carpets, outdated fixtures, and general disrepair. Despite its rundown state, the staff is friendly and the location is convenient, making it a decent option for a short stay if you’re not expecting luxury. With some care and investment, this hotel could easily return to its former splendor.

Venice gem needing some maintenance!

Excellent and welcoming service. However, we were not advised that renovations were taking place just outside our room. I took pictures. And being a five star hotel, why do they charge 2 euros for coffee dispensed in the room when much less standard hotels do not? Service staff were wonderful from the reception to others - positive, cheerful and helpful. The building while on beautiful grounds needs to be updated and guests at least warned if the quality of their stay will be affected.
