I only paid 1/2 price for this as I had hotels.com credits to use, so I paid £65 instead of £130 as advertised. The staff were rude and often wouldn't acknowledge your presence for a long while. They were helpful when they did acknowledge you.
The room itself was comfy, the bed especially, very soft. The bathroom was clean, although I did find a hair in the bathtub. The mirror was cracked and damaged but still usable.
On check out I asked to store my bags. They told me to just leave it by the lift door on the lower level... I didn't feel this was overly secure so I kept my valuables with me and just left my clothes. Although it was there when I got back so that was ok.
The free shuttle service from JFK to the hotel is on request, but from the hotel to JFK is on the hour every hour, so factor that into your travel plans if staying here before a flight. I personally stated here after a flight so that didn't effect me too much
Overall I would say this isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in new York, and asside from the staff, I felt it was sufficient for a bed for the night, but I wouldn't stay there again at full price, it was very expensive in my opinion
