Our stay had some ups and downs. The room felt very outdated, more like a motel than a hotel, and was quite dark, even with all the lights on—especially in the bathroom. The broken glass door to the patio made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe, as it looked like someone had tried to force their way in. The view was also unsettling, with an abandoned, burned-out building nearby, giving us the chills. We could hear people but couldn’t see anyone, which added to the uneasy feeling.
I have dust allergies, and when I opened the curtains to the patio, there was a thick layer of dust that made me itch. On a positive note, I requested something special since my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and booked this last minute because we didn’t know we’re gonna be staying in rome, we’re in a roadtrip, the staff decorated the room a little with balloons and petals. They even surprised us later with a small bottle of champagne and small treat of cake, which we really appreciated.
The breakfast was great, with plenty of options, though it wasn’t included in the stay. We also found the parking very convenient. Overall, while we appreciated the thoughtful touches, the room and atmosphere didn’t quite meet our expectations.
