Was a fair hotel with loads of potential, however this is what we experienced Table not cleaned when we arrived - had to clean it ourselves Shower has a lot of mold - would be an easy clean Carpet worn/ fraying edges Not enough coat hangers- so brought our own and left behind Draws fall apart when opening Shower blocked - resolved very quickly 1 lift out of order for 2 days -(no sign) Spa out of order for 2 nights - (no sign) No hand towels, you have to pay extra for hand towels We understand they are new owners and have work to do, but we did not know they status of upgrades and repairs required, prior to booking has 8.4 rating on hotels.com which suggests very good and it is not. Maybe advise of building upgrade and repair status where advertising so people are aware

Incredible Hotel
The hotel is amazing. A wonderful pool, washer and dryer, dish washer, refrigerator, stove, just like home. In the heart of the city and Darling Harbour just over the walking bridge. I stay here whenever I am in Sydney. A very friendly staff. The attached restaurant is also great.

Friendly and good value in Sydney near Darling Har
I’ve stayed here before as the hotel is well positioned and offers apartments as well as basic rooms. This time on my own I opted for a basic room. Perfectly adequate for a 3 night stay. Staff are excellent and as my room want teach they swiftly swapped me to another and offered a welcome gift. One lift was under maintenance do not having a stair option was the only downside as I was only on floor 1

Give it a go.
Great location with a reasonable tariff. I understand refurbishment is underway but a good spring clean and scrub wouldn't go amiss in the meantime. Having to go to reception for items one would expect to be in the room, eg: dishwash liquid, was a nuisance especially when only one lift was working involving 5-10 minute wait. Reception was very friendly though. I would stay there again as long as the tariff remains attractive.

Our room was extremely noisy, could not sleep at all, all night. Not soundproof, the room was dirty there was literally hair in the bed, the night stands had stains all over them, the mini fridge had dust all over it and there was nothing in it, so in the middle of the night I had to walk in freezing rain to go buy a drink across the busy road. We had NO phone in our room, so I had to go down to reception to ask for extra pillows- twice! Cause the first time no one came We had NO hairdryer in our room even though it says on the ad they do, so again with no phone off to reception I had to go with wet hair to get a hairdryer. Honestly never had an experience like this will never go back especially having no sleep

The hotel room was more spacious than expected considering it was in the heart of the city. Lots of places could be reached by walking and there were many dining choices. However the check in was very unsmooth and staff was unfriendly and rigid. We booked two rooms with one name having the English name which was not on the ID. While everything could confirm we were the real booking persons, the staff just said it was a company policy to exactly match and we had to change our booking with our agent before 5pm (it was 3 pm then). The hotel was quite old and cleanliness was not impressive. When we stepped in the room, there was strong smell of bleach, after the bleach smell has gone, the room was a bit smelly (perhaps that's why they had to use strong bleach to cover). Some sticky brown liquids was on the kitchen floor. Lastly, the room had a balcony (which was good) but since the hotel was near main roads and a bridge, and the windows had poor sound proof, it was noisy at night which made me hardly sleep well.

The whole experience was awesome! The place was very clean, water was hot, mattress comfortable. The washer and dryer in unit. Everything was supplied to include laundry detergent and dish soap. The coffee in the lobby was convenient and better than most coffee houses. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There was only one lift working. This was to be used for guests and the cleaning staff. Small hallways with linen bags everywhere in front of the lifts. Waiting 5-15 minutes for the lift everytime. I did not stay for the period I paid for. I went to another hotel

It was perfect for the price we paid. Nothing to flash but nice enough for our 6 day stay. The pool & spa was a massive bonus. The property was overall clean although quite outdated so could do with a bit of an upgrade. Our only down point is that we found the conditioner had been filled up with water, and wasn’t replaced once during our stay and same with the hand soap but we generally use hand sanitizer anyway so apart from these minor things it was a great stay and we will be recommending this accomodation! The staff were extremely friendly as well
