I had requested a late check out for an additional charge. I returned to the hotel after lunch to discover that my key card didn't work. I spoke with the front desk person, he told me that they didn't have anything showing a late check out. He had already ran my card for an addition day at $156.92. Said he would credit me. He then proceeded to charge me another $54.99 for the late check out. I called the hotel once I saw the additional charges. They charged me the extra day and the original late check out fee of $30.00. The clerk told me a credit for the additional day had been refunded and she would credit me the $30.00.and have the manage call me. I was only refunded $101.93 of the $$156.92 and still haven't seen the $30.00 and no phone call from the manager. Very poor communication and customer service!

I didn’t like that they only cleaned on your 3rd day and when they did clean they didn’t make the bed and when I went to the front desk they said oh you must have left a personal item on the bed that’s why they didn’t make it up but there wasn’t anything personal on the bed.the pillows were a little flat for me but other than that it was okay

Not a great stay
I usually enjoy La Quinta Inns. However, this property is older and is showing its age. The tub was all chipped and there were numerous paint chips on the floor in the bathroom. The lock to the door was sticking - making it hard to just get into the room and also hard to get out. This is a safety hazard, which I reported to the manager. Finally, it is next to a large freeway (not unusual), however, my room on the freeway side was noisy - I heard the freeway all night long. Not a great stay - I'll choose better next time.

Not bad, but staff needs improvement
Overall it was good for a quick one night stay. My only safety concern was that there was no actual lock between the door and frame so I only had the metal piece from the inside of the room. This should be fixed. Also, knowing check out is at 11am, the moment it turned to 11am, I had room service asking if I'm ready to leave. This didn't need to be that abrupt. Lastly, I wanted to continue to work so I went to the lobby area and was told to leave by the lady vacuuming. I want to acknowledge the older gentlemen that offered me the meeting room so I could continue to work. That was very sweet of him. Areas of the staff need better customer service to match the gentlemen that helped me out.

Sleepless in Phoenix La Quinta Inn
Front desk staff was friendly and down to earth, but when my wife and I entered the room and turn on the lights, first of all it was not well lit. The vanity was ok but the toilet was in bad condition. It had various cracks inside, the toilet seat moved all over the place when you sat on it. When you flush the toilet, it would make a loud noise. The shower was dirty and had stains in it. Some of the electrical appliances where unplugged. Including the mini-refrigerator, microwave and television. It was a nightmare trying to plug them back in. Once I plugged the television, I had to re-start the Direct tv box. The pillows and the bed sheets appeared that they were not changed and laundered. They looked wrinkled like if somebody just got out of bed and left it like that. But the worst part was a very loud noise that kept my wife and I awake for the entire night. We had no idea where it was coming from. And in the morning I had to drive for many hours straight and only had a chance to sleep for about an hour. It was very frustrating and we were very disappointed because according to your reviews they showed that it was a nice and clean place. I don't know if we ever want to stay at La Quint Inn again. Hopefully you take this into consideration for your future guests.

Great condition. Everything was clean and well maintained. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. It was a little loud between road noise and some other hotel rooms. But not bad. I’d definitely stay here again

Very poor customer service and communication
I made my booking online,got there early in the morning from the airport.I requested the lady at the reception to let me check in early at an additional fee and she said no.The Guests were still taking breakfast and i requested her to let me take breakfast at an additional fee but even to that she said no.I had to leave with my suitcase.When i came back later i was told the hotel had been overbooked and my reservation cancelled.I had to get another place to spend the 2 nights i was in Arizona.To my suprise my credit card was charged.Book them at your own risk
