Maybe all hotels were price gouging for the Inauguration weekend, but for $1,500 a night this hotel was ridiculous. We were “upgraded” upon check in? I’d hate to see what our original room was like…The room was very dated and had seen better days — definitely not sparkling clean when one finds hairs in the sink and shower. Heating was not central but a large unit by the wall a la an inexpensive motel style. There were no robes and the worn towel were tiny so barely wrapped around (this is at $1,500/night, remember) no luggage stand/holder - really? and this is a hotel? And our upgraded room had only lower level hanging bar in the closet — so no where to hang dresses, coats, formal dresses. The people at the front desk were friendly but agsin at $1,500/night … Won’t be returning.
