The room appeared a little run down (wear and tear like carpet stains or patched holes in the wall), but it was clean when I came in (vacuumed, clean sheets, clean table, etc). I loved the layout of the room and the amenities offered, and the hot water didn't go cold! It was a wonderful little room that I could definitely feel comfortable having to stay longer than the three days I did.
The free breakfast is a very limited grab and go option, so I wouldn't plan your breakfasts solely at the hotel unless you buy some groceries. The wifi is good, but hard for streaming video unless you upgrade. The lobby was also always locked no matter the time of day, and it felt a little awkward to have to raise the phone just to ask to be let in to grab some oatmeal.
The only actual negative thing I didn't much like was the pervasive smell of smoke. It smelled like cigarette smoke in the lobby, it smelled in the hotel room, and when I passed by another room getting cleaned one day, it smelled in there, too. But there's signs everywhere saying no smoking. Thankfully it wasn't strong enough to seep into my clothes, and I could adjust to it in just a couple minutes. However, if I had been traveling with someone more sensitive, I'm not sure we'd have been able to ask to transfer to a room that they'd be able to rest in.
