My stay at The Gallivant Times Square was appalling. The front desk staff’s unprofessional and dismissive attitude set a negative tone from the outset. I was denied a receipt for my deposit, which remains unreturned, raising serious concerns about the hotel’s integrity. The key cards issued were defective, and when I sought help, the night concierge responded with a patronizing remark rather than any meaningful assistance. The room was in an unacceptable state, with visible hairs in the bathroom and a broken hairdryer. These failures in both service and cleanliness made my experience not just disappointing, but deeply frustrating and distressing. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel, as it failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality.
During my stay, I felt that the night concierge treated me in a way that suggested bias and discrimination based on my race. The staff’s behavior and comments were not only unprofessional but also made me feel singled out and unwelcome. This kind of conduct is unacceptable in any hospitality setting and left me deeply uncomfortable and distressed during my visit. I urge the hotel to address issues of racial bias among its staff to ensure all guests are treated with respect and dignity
