I did have an issue upon check-in. I booked a twin room and even had the screen shot to prove this, but when I asked check-in staff to confirm this they said I'd booked a double. They did say that would change the room around straight away. I then went out for a walk for a couple of hours.
Upon my return I went up to the room and wanted to sleep as soon as possible due to a long term health issue, but the beds hadn't been moved into twins. After 2 hours of waiting the staff still hadn't appeared to change the beds so I had to ask again, this time they arrived within a few minutes. By this time I was extremely tired but couldn't sleep until they arrived.
The rest of the stay was very good, the room was excellent, the cleanliness standards were very high and the location is perfect. Some tea towels in the rooms kitchen would have been a nice touch. We had a view over the railway tracks but this wasn't an issue and we had no noise from the trains at all.
We used the resturant downstairs twice and this was also excellent, but booking is strongly advised as it gets very busy.
When I checked out I asked the staff to store my luggage case for a few hours as I wasn't leaving London until later in the day. It took the staff member 15 mins to fetch my case which again wasn't ideal. The staff are also very robotic and and didn't appear very relaxed.
We will stay again but I feel the reception staff could do with some training to make the stay less frustrating and a bit more 5 star.
