Hotel doesn’t honor their own “confirmed” reservations booked months in advance. Double booked our room, had my wife and kid with me…we had no choice but to take the king room with a rollaway bed and sh*te food they called ‘made to order’ breakfast @ $26/ person as compensation. Desk staff was rude and incompetent, when I asked to speak to a manager about how they do business they acted aloof like I was the a-hole for even asking and I felt as though they’ve done this a few times, if not all the time. The response I received from the front desk “manager” felt scripted and very disingenuous.The “hotel” itself is dated and feels worn out like a used car from the ‘80s. Torn upholstery on furniture, painters tape still in areas and the “perfume” they use smells like a strip club, seriously bring your own pillows. The only nice part about this “hotel” were the service staff, they were all very kind and friendly. Needless to say will never stay in a Sonesta again. Also beware they charged us for the $7 bottled water although room service never entered our room….and we never touched the bottles… they tried to sneak that charge in as a going away gift. Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed with.
