We had stayed at the Hyatt Regency three years ago and were quite satisfied with our experience, but unfortunately, our recent stay fell short of expectations.
To start, the service at reception was disappointing. The ladies at the front desk were curt and unwelcoming, which set a poor tone for the stay.
The issues with our room were even more concerning. There weren’t enough towels when we arrived, and we noticed the wallpaper peeling off the walls, as well water marks on the ceiling and wall. We had to report the issue to reception, who placed a work order, but it felt like something that should have been addressed before guests arrived.
Our key cards also stopped working twice, requiring us to go back to reception to resolve the issue—an unnecessary inconvenience.
After our second night, we requested room service. Instead of the full service we anticipated, only towels were dropped off, leaving the room otherwise unattended.
Overall, this stay was a letdown compared to our previous visit. The lack of attention to detail and subpar service made it feel far from the standard we’ve come to expect from Hyatt Regency. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
