Good hotel but too noisy
Clean room and friendly staff.
However, what we value most in a hotel is peace and a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, every morning we were woken up far too early due to poor soundproofing. On the city side, traffic noise started at dawn, and on the corridor side, we could hear every door slamming and every conversation as if they were inside our room. Very unpleasant, especially since we were dealing with jet lag and badly needed quiet rest.Another downside: we couldn’t even enjoy breakfast because the dining area was far too small for the number of guests. Once again, there was no sense of calm or comfort.The hotel does have an excellent location for getting around Manhattan, but so do many other nearby hotels that offer the same advantage. A pity.
