We were pleasantly surprised with the nice decorating and cleanliness of the apartment. The location was fun, right next to the castle, but as other reviewers said, it was quite loud. The vendors were just below our room and tourists until 9pm when the castle closes. We didn't mind it, though; it was fun to people-watch. The worst part for me was how loud the vehicles were driving over the cobbles. The bus stop is practically at the front door and the yellow trolley goes up and down the hill nearby. We didn't find a grocery store, but it was a well-stocked kitchen with a mini fridge.
The only thing that really turned me off was the bathroom vanity. It was a cheap laminate that had bad water damage and peeling veneer. The towels were stiff from apparently being line-dried, but there were plenty of them for four of us.
The beds were comfortable, even the kids' pull-out. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't made up for us, but the blankets were readily available. We arrived at about 9pm and were able to get our key from the restaurant next door; very detailed directions came in an email. Everything was able to be securely locked with three doors. We felt safe. Ubers cannot drive to the front door (because it's national land.. only busses, taxis, and residents). Drop-offs occur down the hill about 50 yards. We were able to line up an Uber the night before leaving from that same area down the hill at 4:15am.
