Great location for our purposes and helpful friendly staff. Our room was dated and in need of update and mattress was very hard. Would stay again as ideal for our purpose of catching up with local friends.

North Riding Brew Pub right down the road
Loved the hotel, restaurant and bar in-house was nice. It is definitely walking distance to everything. The castle is about 500 feet away and the Scarborough Seafront area is only a few blocks away. Best of all, it is only about half a mile from North Riding Brew Pub and their great beers.

Gorgeous cliff top view of the sea from hotel room. Same amazing view from the dining room at breakfast. Continental only but we found it satisfying. We stayed in a room in the first floor which had up to date decor. Comfortable beds. A little bit of dust in places but you cannot completely remove all dust. I would say that you need a car to access south beach. Overall we were happy during our one night stay.

the place is dirty and in need of doing up ive nevery stay anywere so dirty, the place smelt like it was a nursing home for the elderly payed for sea view was put over the bar which you could see the sea over all the rubbish bins with waste all over, had to ask for toilet roll as there was only a tiny bit in the room

November seaside weekend escape
Perfectly located atop the cliffs & the view from my room was amazing. I could see the sea from my bed. Friendly & helpful staff. The room was clean & tidy but a little warm for my liking, which was dealt with. The en suite bathroom was spacious & included a bath to soak in after long walks. Water was lovely & hot too. Only downside was a very narrow shelf on the opposite wall to the mirror which was above the sink. I spent 2x nights there & would definitely go back. It's a great base with plenty of street parking for a very small fee via the hotel.

Great overnight stay
We had a lovely overnight stay. We were able to park outside earlier than our check in, enabling us to walk down to the North Bay beach before our check in time. The room was comfortable and clean, great value for money! All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Thank you 😊

The room at the hotel was clean but the noise between rooms/through the walls was not good. I would definitely advise earplugs for the night. Parking is also bad. It looked like the hotel had over 100 rooms, but there are only about 12 parking spaces available on a 1st cone 1st served basis.

A great location, reasonably priced and available for a single night. The room was ok and clean, but the whole hotel looks very tired and in need of renovating. Some guests were being moved to other rooms as I checked in, due to leaks and damp (it had been very windy the previous night). I didn't have breakfast at the hotel.
