False advertisement
The hotel is beautiful but from the moment you walk in you feel like you are entering a dealership. They greet you, sit you with a concierge after check in and they push, push and push you to go to there sales pitch about time shares. I understand the business side of things, but being informative and being pushy are two different things. They will offer you spa credit, free excursions and room credits just to try and force you to go to the sales pitch (they won’t take no for an answer so you just say yes and don’t show up)
At checkout Monse (she said she’s the supervisor when i asked to speak to a manager) was extremely rude. She was charging me x am extra in “taxes” when i ask her to explain to me why i am being charged over extra she said that they have different charges for taxes depending on the amount? I asked her if she knew the percentages that are charged in taxes and eco she said it differs by customer? Iva is set at 16% in Mexico (she said that it’s not correct and it depends on the amount we are being charged? That’s the first lie. Then she said there’s a fee of x amt or more for Propina (tips) I asked if that’s a set fee she said “no it depends on the amount of Propina you decide to give”
It’s not about the money but when someone in “management” can’t explain the taxes and fees that are being charged to the room then they can charge what they want?
My checkout bill was x amt (I only charged tips to my room since it’s an all inclusive) the total in tips was
