When we checked in, they couldn’t find our reservation record which we paid in advance to Expedia. we booked a lower rate room with no breakfast and have to pay at the spot (US$60 cheaper than what we paid to Expedia). When we checked out, they refunded us what we paid to them but not the amount that we paid to Expedia since they already received the payment from Expedia.
The hotel has lots of wonderful features - including spacious rooms, kettle and refrigerator, premium bedding and cable channels. The service was friendly and very attentive. The facilities themselves are wonderful, with a gym, bowling alley, arcade, and even a salon. The hotel is within a gated community, Country Garden, so there was not a lot locally to enjoy.
The hotel is not perfect, but nice location to get the kids out of the city.
Service mixes up a lot if it comes to discuss matters in English. As usual in China.
Back I've there several times despite those difficulties.

Worst Experience Of My Life
To say this was the worst experience of my life is a true understatement. Out dated, dirty hotel, rude non english speaking staff, disgusting food served not to menu description, messed up billing (paid online through hotels.com and then charged again on CC, and had to explain!), and to make it worse arrived at 2am and there was a cockroach in my bed. Honestly, avoid at all costs!
