Impressive hotel. Staff are all exceptionally welcoming. Stayed in a club room which I highly recommend. The Imperial club lounge is very good and well worth it. The hotel is a bit ‘Las Vegas’ like in that there are a lot of visitors in and out all day who are not actually staying in the hotel as day tickets are sold to the water park and aquarium. It gives the place a slightly odd feel, more like visiting a theme park than a hotel. Quieter in the evening when it’s just hotel guests. However we were aware before booking that it would be busy during the day so not really surprised.
Water park is great fun, river rapids have several options and are well thought out.
The Aquarium is spectacular and if you are lucky you might get to watch divers in the tanks. I was pretty amazed by the size of some of the fish. Huge variety.
Room was very big and comfortable. As with so many hotels The Atlantis has changed from individual toiletries to large refillable bottles. I get that this must save the hotel a lot of money but I do think this practice is a bit cheap, it’s the one area that was disappointing.
Service was impeccable both in the Imperial club and in Ayama restaurant where we ate in the evening. Reasonably priced as well.
It is expensive per night compared to other similar hotels but there is a lot to keep you entertained, especially if you have kids with you. I would recommend a visit to this hotel.
