show up on time or else they’ll try to cancel you
Came out of town, tried to check in at 8 pm.. as check in runs from 3 pm to midnight. As I was checking in, hotel staff told me he was about to cancel my reservation and that he was trying to charge my card without my presence there. Mind you, I could not answer a call from the hotel as I was on the road and I only showed up twenty minutes or so after his call of him trying to cancel my reservation. Man talked very low and had an AirPod in, didn’t really understand what he was saying. Was charged a 50 deposit separately from the hotel itself plus another fee that I wasn’t told about. As I was checking out, had another hotel staff check me out and also was not that understanding, as he asked if we paid cash or card. Saw other people waiting around after checking out and overheard that they were waiting for the deposit to be put back on their card, decided to leave as hotels NORMALLY should give you the deposit back after you leave and you should not have to wait around until it’s convenient for them to refund you. Nice hotel room, but honestly won’t be staying here again. To add on, the remote stopped working after one use so I had to use the button on the tv to change. Kind of frustrating. Also breakfast runs from 6-9, most people don’t even make it on time.
