Hotel fraud
The hotel said my stay was canceled by Hotels.com. It wasn’t. There was no where else to stay. I stayed in a smaller room for more money also the hotel doesn’t match photos. They shouldn’t be able to continue to due business like this. I’ve never had a problem with Hotels.com before.

The hotel is an older hotel that has been redone. Our room was very clean. We took our showers right before we left home so did not turn the bath water on until next morning. To our surprise the water would not turn on so I called the front desk and told the guy that it did not work and he said it works, you just have to pull the knob. I told him we pulled it and turned it and it did not work. He said he would send someone up to look at it. We waited an hour but no one came. By this time we had to get ready to leave so we had to stand at sink and bathe. Upon checking out I mentioned it to the guy at the front desk thinking he might offer some kind of credit. All he had to say was I just came on shift and the other guy didn’t tell me about it, but he did apologize. I basically told him I would be giving a negative review and told him he needed to be sure it was repaired before they gave the room to anyone else.

Dirty room.
Room was not clean. All furniture, I had to clean tops before using. Looked like someone ate meals with drinks on 3 of the 4 pieces of furniture. Bathroom had black mold spots all over shower ceiling. Cracked, water stained ceilings over bathroom and beds. Cobwebs in corner of top door jamb to bathroom. dirty door opening jambs from hands. Beds seemed seamed to be clean or would not have stayed.

On our first day my son found 4 roaches We told the front desk they very nicely apologize The next day the room was not done Touches there with new ones our room got done one time even after requesting it 3 times we mention roaches and they only mention Speay them Awful quality of breakfast Dirty and very old I went with my son And it’s super far from Tampa downtown

This place needs to hire a cleaning staff. All the carpets (hallways and rooms) were very dirty, it was obvious no one had vacuumed in days. The bathroom had a tube with shower head that was rusted and had a sticky pad cover the bottom to hid more rust. The elevator jerk to a stop and made loud banging sounds. Someone's truck alarm kept going off from 2am until after 3am (even though we contacted the front desk). It may be a less expensive place than others on Tampa, but in the future I'll pay for a place that actually cares about their facility!

Hubby and I and our pups stayed 2 nights during Hurricane Milton and I must say that the professionalism of the front desk staff during the check in process was excellent...they stayed calm and professional during the hectic time checking in each guest with a comforting smile. The rooms were clean and adequate for what we needed it to be I would definitely stay again and would recommend

Avoid!
This hotel was terrible. The room smelled musty and it felt damp. The AC unit was very loud and the sink water smelled like sewage. We were forced to leave a day early due to Hurricane Milton and they refused to refund us even though the state of Florida is under a state of emergency. This hotel is old and is in desperate need of an upgrade. The elevator has wood paneling and was very bumpy. There are a few perks, the fairgrounds is right across the street and the hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast. Check-in was easy.

Roaches.
They over booked and gave amy room away even though i paid for it 6 months in advanced and checked online earlier that day. They “cleaned” a room for me while i went to pick up someone from the airport for this convention. They cleaned the room and reset one of the beds, but there were roaches all over the room. it was absolutely awful and the elevator felt like it was about to break so we used the stairs. this was the most awful experience i have ever had at a hotel to be honest.
