The design of the hotel is gorgeous, but the room is a bit outdated.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful Xian
The hotel is located in a prime location. It is close to all the restaurants and the primary Square. It is a short walking distance to the golden goose pagoda. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous especially the Japanese garden. Breakfast had numerous options for western and eastern food, especially Xian cuisine. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The only minor issue is my room did not have any drawers or luggage storage. The bed and bedding were luxurious and comfortable. Staff was professional and sincere. Check in and check out was efficient. The hotel was generous with its breakfast buffet and parking. We checked out but we had a late flight. The hotel let us park our rental car free of charge.

The property conditions was excellent. My room was beautiful, comfortable and luxurious.
There is no internet, this is why I am rating the property 4 stars. The hotel is right next to the Pagoda and about 30 minutes with fair traffic by car from the Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter. Service in the breakfast area was poor. Fair selection but the food was cold. The hotel staff does not speak English. Believe it or not the only one person that spoke English well was the staff that walked me to my room when I first arrived. He was very friendly and professional. I do not understand why they do not have him working in the front desk. There was another man with a suit always by the front door he understood more English than the front desk staff. He was also friendly and always ready to help. If I needed transportation the bell boys were always ready to help. The service by the staff by the door was very good.
The internet issue seems to be across all the hotels I have stayed at. I moved to the JW Marriott, internet was poor as well but better than at this hotel.
