There's a bit of false advertising with this place. There are actually 2 hotel/apartments and one is nicer than the other. They should be listed separately.
I do not recommend the rooms that say "Portillo" because those are actually a different building, about a 9 minute walk away from the main one --> not fun with suitcases. The rooms at the Portillo place are poor, with the lowest quality of furniture, linens, and decoration. If you have allergies, this place is not good, they use a strong and artificial air freshener.
The places at Portillo would be 1 star, not 3 stars as they are advertised as (I say this as someone who has stayed in hundreds of hotels/apartments/BnBs in Spain and other countries.)
However, the staff member, Edy, who helped me with my suitcases, was very kind. After an international flight, I was grateful for her help. Also, I liked that the main place serves as a kind of cultural center for the neighborhood.
I think, overall, the 2 hotel-apartments, or at least the Portillo one, needs more monetary investment.
