It was amazing. Clean, spacious room, amazing staff and service. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. I don’t recommend Saffron restaurant but other than that everything about this hotel was amazing. I’ll definitely be back with family.

Nice location although a bit dated now. We had to move rooms because of a bad smell but the staff were very accommodating and ensured we were comfortable after moving

We’ve stayed here before a few times and always had a suite however this time we just booked a horizon club room - no problem apart from the shower- seems crazy to have a walk in shower without a rain head shower head in the ceiling -this has a handheld shower which my husband had to hold above his head!!

I expect higher standards at Shangri-La, decor in lobby old fashion, suite upgrade was required in order to access room early, room lovely however daily clean was poor and carpets not cleaned. Disappointed while waiting for suite access at 6am we were first refused breakfast until next day however after complaining I was given breakfast. In all my travels around the world I have never been refused use of facilities once arriving. Club access - food was average, drinks options were not great, I been to much better club lounges around the world.

Horizon club was good. A good room makeup. Very food bedding. Power shortage including elevator stop several times everyday. Very dangerous hotel limo driver for airport pickup. Attitudes of staffs at cafe B and gym are quite bad. Meals at Saffron was too salty and mo change even after complaints for whole dinner course.

Experience is not so good and to some extent, I would say unexpected:
1) Interaction with front desk staff at midnight wasn't expected at this level of hotel. He needs serious grooming & especially on customer interaction & choice of words.
2) On next morning, I left at 9:30AM and around 4:30PM while crossing the hotel during my journey from South to North of the city, I thought of dropping few stuff. But surprisingly found that the room hasn't been serviced. I asked a carpet cleaner, who was then working just outside my room; he responded that I should have informed front desk while leaving. Understood that he is also another untrained member of the team.
3) Though hotel has 6 lifts in the lobby but most of the guests didn't respect the privacy of other members. Lifts were often too crowded and giving a feel of shopping mall or office lifts. Hotel could have deployed a person to manage the crowd. I finally decided to enter a lift with 2 other guests but then 3 more people accommodated themselves! No one had time for another 40-50 seconds. A lapse from hotel management.
4) I had to extend my stay for one more night. Though I completed my formalities in the morning before leaving the hotel at 7:15AM, my access key hadn't been updated. So, I had redo that at 8PM...at a gap of more than 12 hrs after being refused lift access.
5) In continuation of #4; my wifi hadn't been updated. Finally realised that my choice was wrong & decided not to bother any further.
