I knew Sonder hotels from New York and the room itself didn’t disappoint. Clean and spacious room with all the comfort you need the bedding is great! However outside of the property you’re on a big street so a lot of noise from the traffic. Also i have been to Madrid several times before and this area is not great. The neighborhood didn’t feel safe it’s not walking distance from main touristic places but you have buses, accessible metro or uber. Despite my great experiences with Sonder hotels i won’t return to that specific location.

I recently stayed at the new Sonder Sofia, which had no reviews yet, but I trusted the brand and was not disappointed. Despite minor growing pains typical of a new location, my experience was fantastic. The hotel is in a prime location, with metro and bus access nearby and a supermarket in the same building, though I preferred Mercadona up the street. My studio was well-equipped, including a full kitchenette, washer-dryer combo, and Smart TV, making it feel like a home away from home. It was also incredibly quiet despite its central location, and the code-access system was convenient. Minor cons included self serve baggage storage is still being set up and limited to 10am-4pm for the time being, and occasionally inconsistent hot water. Overall, I highly recommend Sonder Sofia and look forward to staying there again.

Habitación defectuosa y mala atención al cliente
Lamentablemente nuestra experiencia en Sonder Sofia fue nefasta: 1. Al llegar, el mando del regulador del agua caliente de la ducha estaba suelto, por lo que no funcionaba. Lo reportamos y a pesar de los intentos de ayudar, no se solucionó, ni se ofrecieron alternativas factibles (nos ofrecieron irnos a otro alojamiento lejos de la zona, que no era una opción para nuestro viaje). Así que tuvimos agua caliente que funcionaba mal, y sin posibilidad de regularla, durante toda la estancia. 2. El último día (domingo) a las 9:20 de la mañana se activó de repente la alarma de incendios en el edificio, interrumpiendo nuestro descanso y obligándonos a salir rápidamente del edificio por precaución, en pijama. La alarma estuvo sonando durante 30 minutos sin parar, no había nadie de Sonder en el edificio, y hubo 0 comunicación proactiva por parte de Sonder. Cuando a los 30 minutos por fin llegó alguien, se trataba de una falsa alarma por humo de cocina en uno de los apartamentos, lo cuál indica un mal diseño de los apartamentos. Tuvimos que estar 30 minutos al frío en la calle, y no se nos ofreció ningún tipo de compensación o ayuda. Pagamos casi 150€ por noche, y este alojamiento no estuvo ni de lejos cercano a las expectativas ni a lo mínimo que se espera de un alojamiento (sea del precio que sea), por lo que no podemos recomendarlo.
