We were a five minute drive from Sonora's little down town area which was really cute and had nice places to eat. Didn't check out shopping, but we liked walking around.

Very good restaurants and walking the back road by hotel let us wind down with a stroll in the evening
"Highly recommend staying here with its central location in the downtown and nearby hiking and adventure sites. The room is fine for a couple, but somewhat long and narrow. The AC cooled the room well and was not in the bedroom which kept the noise down. Bed was comfortable. Strangely the front desk staff had a pattern of being distant or grumpy, but not that important an issue. Overall, this was a perfect place to stay after a late night concert at Ironstone in Murphys."
