Excellent service
Exactly what I expected with excellent service. The room was rather small with a single bed in it (I booked a single room, so expected it), but very clean. The furnitures were rather dated, but still functional. The bathroom was very compact and had to wait around 30-60 seconds for the hot water, but again everything was clean. Despite all the shortcomings, the service was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. Moreover the location is very convenient - less than 5min from Roma Termini. I stayed for 1 night, and definitely can recommend the hotel for short stays. In overall I’m happy with the stay, mostly because of the excellent service, and good value, and convenient location.

Nice & Friendly , helpful staff -nice hotel .
Initially I had a room which smelled and after referring it to the front desk - I was reallocated to another room . This looked new and it was definitely an upgrade. Comfortable room , clean toilets and I had a great sleep. Despite everything, the staff are the nicest reception people ever. Very friendly ,helpful , and always smiling. They were so different from the gentleman who checked me in on the 4th. He saw me but continued with his work. When he decided he had finished he then checked me in . This person had no smiles , appeared unhappy, and very unfriendly. So , minus that - it was a excellent stay

Nice and functional
Service was wonderful! Convenient location. Free breakfast was good. Clean room. Very hot shower. The bed was hard, but I’ve learned from experience that is what you get in Europe from many hotels in this price range.

It's OK for a night
It was OK but I wouldn't stay again. There was a hole on the floor covered by the carpet and you needed to be careful in the tiny room not to step on it. Very hard mattress and a challenge to find a power socket. Maybe my room 301 is the worst in the hotel and I was unlucky? Otherwise I don't get the good reviews. Staff is great and so is location if you need to be near the train station. I can't comment on the breakfast since it stops at 10 at weekends and I didn't come to Rome on holiday to get up early

The staff and service was great! Very accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and orderly. The small cafe and garden area are very nice. I didn't get a chance to try the onsite breakfast, but it is available. I had a single room, which was as expected. A bit old and lacking some comforts, particularly the bed is very firm. Otherwise a good place to stay in the heart of the city.

We found the Hotel was in a good location, could walk to the supermarket, cafes, restaurants and public busing. It was a few black walk to the train station and the Hop on Hop off bus station. The hotel was old, but clean and the breakfast was very good. It is small, but has everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and made good suggestions on how to get the sights we were interested in seeing. They had a quiet courtyard in the centre, which was great to relax and just chill. I would go back to the hotel if I every return to Rome.

Hotel Garden Astoria
The check in process was easy and the desk manager was very friendly and informative about Rome. If you are used to traveling in the USA you will find this hotel dated. But given it's location near the Rome Train station, it was clean, with a decent breakfast, that is well priced overall I was satisfied.

Very good location
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very good being walking distance from the Roma Termini station, meaning it was easy to get to and from both airports. There was a lovey restaurant close by. The room was in need of an update and the bathroom was “cosy”. Overall I would probably stay again but I would look for other options first and keep this one in reserve
