Appears they are in a cost cutting mode. Met with self check-in kiosks, and ring a buzzer if you need assistance. Turn in your own towels for replacement. Clean your room every 7 days. To order a cab there is a “direct line telephone to arrange a taxi, but was not told the cab delay can be 45-60 min when inquired a hotel employee the previous night. We felt like the name “Premier Inn” is an overstatement of reality.

Adding the breakfast buffet at time of booking was the best deal in Scotland. Once we figured out that the key card had to be inserted for the lights to work, the switches had to be turned on for the outlets to work, and that the thermostat turned off after exiting the room, everything was free-flowing.

The property was quite one. However the staff made up for it by their friendliness and willingness to help. The restaurant was touching go for when it was open, and when it was not because of lack of staff. The location was not as great as I would’ve liked as we had to walk uphill to get to the High Street which was only a block away however it was a 90° incline so very sleep to walk if you have any mobility issues.
