Needs Serious Work!
Overall out stay was "fine" but I won't be booking the Four Points in Perth ever again. I'm not one to complain but there were a number of factors that really impacted our experience:
(1) I was signed up to Marriott Bonvoy rewards after specifically declining when asked during check-in. Besides the data privacy concerns, the spam in my inbox was daily and not appreciated. It was such a pain to close my account I eventually went down to reception and made it their problem
(2) Breakfast was "OK" but there was a sever lack of cleanliness and care for hygiene. We had breakfast 6 times and each time found that surfaces and shakers were greasy, already used utensils were put back with clean ones and the seemed to be a lack of care from the staff to help out when asked. The food also left a lot to be desired, we often didn't finish our meals and left food on our plates which is very unlike me!
(3) Housekeeping was a joke. Our used cups and mugs weren't removed when requesting the room to be cleaned, and instead were grouped under the TV. There was a stage that we had 4/5 there after requesting a room refresh
(4) The whole hotel needs a review, especially if they're "4 stars". The carpets in the hallways are dusty and stained, the curtains in the rooms are just as bad. The hotel is pretty run down overall.
For the price we paid including breakfast, I was very disappointed and hope that anyone reading this carefully researches other reviews before deciding to book
