Work trip
Staff was very kind and helpful, but the hotel is old and outdated. Elevator seemed kinda scary and unsafe. Area was easy for work commute to convention center.

Recommended. Great location/staff
Amazing service with zero attitude. Yes the carpet and hotel is older but the maintenance and staff try to make sure you have a 100% great stay. The location is great near both event arenas. You can always take the Marta. No real issues honestly. Parking is across the street but they validate and reduce the price through the hotel.

Not enough drink options.
The only suggestion I have is that I believe they should have drink options beside milk and coffee for the breakfast. Apple juices or orange juices for kids. Or even just bottles of water.

8/10 Very good

The hotel is pretty run down. The elevators definitely need updating. The stairs do not provide an exit. The ice machine only works on two floors. The water comes out brown. But the staff is very nice! The bed is clean and comfy. And it’s reasonably priced for the area

Good basic hotel in heart of Atlanta
The front desk help was fantastic. The piano in the lobby was a nice touch as my companion plays piano and enjoyed it. The elevator was a little bit scary and may need some maintenance soon, but it was quick!! The room was adequate... I had a hard time controlling the heat/air, we were surprised there was no refrigerator, and there was some trash behind the bathroom door. The location is fantastic, and for the price I am not really complaining - except for the breakfast - it was NOT good, sorry... The parking situation is a bit strange, but workable.

Keep it up
Barclay continues to improve. My room was clean and comfortable and all the fixtures worked. It is an older hotel and still needs refurbishing but they continue to do so. The front desk woman was personable and professional

Do Not Stay Here
This place is all but a Motel 6. We had no hot water, no housekeeping services, bad/old smells throughout the hallway and rooms, and many questionable interactions. The location was good for what we needed, but that was about all that it had going for itself.

Could be worse….
It’s not the four seasons that’s for sure. It’s def a no frills place, but the price is right comparatively and the location is right downtown, so there’s that. If you’re looking for a cheapo place to rest your head. It’s not awful.

Run down, but in a neighborhood close to things. They're actively renovating it, so I expect it'll be much nicer in teh future

Cold stay in January
The building was under construction which i had no problem with, but two out of my three days there I did not have hot water. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The owners need to pay more attention to the details that make it nice/comfortable stay versus curb appeal.

Worst hotel
Dirty, cold, old, stinky. They turn off the heater even though it’s freezing.

Good price and friendly staff. Parking cost and rooms are not that clean
Penny, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Nothing special, very unsafe there’s criminal activity right across from the hotel, no breakfast, overpriced, the amenities don’t even match up to a motel 6. No snack bar, no mini fridge, no heat. $150 deposit is a bit steep for this hotel.

The staff were very nice. The property was clean and I was provided with the basics. However, the AC did not work very well, and it was sometimes loud at night due to the location being downtown.

Like Something Out of a Movie
Upon entering my room, I entered the bathroom and found the toilette was full of fecal matter. It was clogged and would not flush. Notified the front desk and was told they didn't have any other rooms available and couldn't get to it till the morning. Tried showering and the water shut off after getting lathered up. Water finally came back on but was scalding hot. The shower controls did nothing to effect the temperature. Water remained scalding hat for the duration of my stay. The mattress was so old and broken down you could feel the springs poking through and if you moved towards the edge of the bed, you would roll out since it was so broken down. When I asked the desk clerk for a printout of my stay, she informed me that her printer was broken and I couldn't get a copy.

There was a bad smell in these rooms with very old furniture. The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it is in a central location. The staff at the reception were friendly and attentive.

I would never stay here again
The room was dirty. It was dirty towels in the closet. It was hair on the shower head the bathroom was dirty. It was hair all over the shower floor. I couldn’t even take a shower in the bathroom. Nobody was at the front desk. The lobby look like a construction site, smell like cigarettes the carpet was dirty and didn’t work When I open up the windows to see the view, it was nothing but a brick wall was a brick wall

Danger health conditions
Today we arrived in Atlanta at the hotel (Barclay Hotel) that we chose through your e commerce platform Hotels.com. We had a terrible experience at the hotel and decided not to stay due to health conditions. We went up to room 706 and found that the bathroom was full of fecal matter. We also found papers covered in fecal matter ( we have photos ); the smell of the room was also terrible. We checked the bedding and saw it was wrinkled and poorly made. Due to the condition of the room we went down to the reception and asked for a change of room. They changed us to room 906. When we entered, the room had a bad smell. We tried to access the balcony and we were left with the door in our hands without being able to close it; the outside temperature was arround 6 degrees Celsius. We tried to turn on the heating system and the sound it produced was too loud for sleeping. Given the poor condition of the hotel infrastructure, we decided to leave the hotel knowing it will be difficult to find another room within the date . We feel that something must be wrong in the city hall because the sanitary conditions should not allow the operation of an establishment like this. For this reason we request the refund us the money . Business like this, does not deserve our money.
