If staying around Milan, this is worth a look
If you are looking for a night over after landing (after yet another Ryanair delayed flight that saw us arriving post midnight) in Milan or looking for a place to base yourself, then this is worth your consideration. Nothing to fault and they support local people with special needs with work in the hotel and it was spotless! Self service check in was great and works for those less social arrival times. Best to contact the hotel to arrange car parking, it took the headache out of finding a car park locally.

The room is very spacious. Every morning they provide a delicious croissant and bread roll for breakfast. Communication with the staff members there is easy. Parking is available for a fee. Very close to Gewiss stadium. Walkable to both the old and new parts of the city. Rooms facing the road could be noisy at night but they provide ear plugs. They also are very helpful and allow us to change to another room facing the courtyard.

The only place to stay!!
We loved our stay here! So much better than we expected. In particular we appreciated: 1) Bit of food to eat in the room upon arrival - this is so nice after a long journey 2) Teapot & milk! This British tea drinker was thrilled 3) Comfy pillows and comfy bed 4) Big room 5) warm bathroom and Excellent hot shower 6) Maid came in each day to square up the room and replenished food/water/milk/toiletries and was very generous 7) Carolina at reception was very helpful and patient with all my questions about public transport. 8) the street is old fashioned and so pretty with a great pizza place (Grano Puro) directly across!

Room was spacious. Friendly staff and helpful. Unfortunately nearby restaurants were closed on a Tuesday. But we did go to Borghetto and had wonderful pizza and wine , walkable from the Residenza. Breakfast was served in the room with meat, juice, yogurt, cheese, croissants. Parking was private, next to hotel for a small fee but was very convenient.

Bergamo - Need Self Check-In
Only place to stay in Bergamo. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get out of the airport / taxi as so many flights arriving at night and not enough staff to process. Cabs as night very limited. Hence as hotel is self-check-in we had a place to stay. At immigration people were yelling, pushed together, staff had to offer water, didn't matter if you had children, infant or were pregnant. Lady in front of us her reception closed so she has to waiting at airport until it opened. The self-check-in allows that you will have a bed for the night especially if you are arriving late at night. Ryanair we counted approx 10 flights at same time plus ours and the airport just cannot cope.
