Like most places in Mexico one comes for the beaches, weather and friendly culture. Tough part is feeling overwhelmed by all the street vendors. And while I understand they need to make money, I'd prefer to just opt in to places vs all the prompting!

Playa is easily and economically reached from Cancun airport by ADO bus if you are staying at the main town/beach area. Tge busses are regularly, reliable and modern. We love Playa del Carmen. Beach loungers and umbrellas are rentable on the beach.

This location is amazing - near the beach, the ferry terminal, the ADO bus, and the main promenade. The patio has an ocean view. Playa del Carmen is busy and has lots of people - but for good reason. the beach is wonderful and there is lots to do.

I loved Playa del Carmen. So much to do and see. Really easy getting around by cheap transport like the ADO or the local colectivo. Quinta Avenida was so fun to walk down every night. Lots going on, fun vibes and energy. Better beaches than PV.

It's a popular destination American/Canadians so the bars and restaurants are priced accordingly. Wander through the back streets and using Google Maps as your guide, you'll find a lot of authentic Mexican cantinas - tasty food at cheap prices

A car is useful to reach Playa Del Carmen, 5th Ave, the nearby Marena Beach Club, and the surrounding attractions. Corasol is a gated community and seems to be very safe and quiet. It even has a golf course on site.

We have travelled here for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Walk 5th Avenue once and then explore further. Lots of great, inexpensive restaurants if you stay away from the tourist zoo.

The hotel had construction going on outside which the hotel can't control but again was an additional factor if you wanted peace and quiet

Although 5th av is fun and full of activity the prices are high, so if you venture off of 5th you can save money.

"Very organized with incredible customer service. Every restaurant we tried was delicious including the buffet. The only thing to point out if being picky is the pool was a bit warm in my opinion. Everything else was phenomenal. "
