Very cool little town with good food options (especially if you like fried food), neat shops, great art community as well. You get a whole lot of what you expect in a little tourist town like this without it being touristy.

It is hands down the most beautiful part of Minnesota. It is always 10-15 degrees colder in the summer than it is in Minneapolis. A great place to escape the noise of the city and enjoy nature.

It is the "end of the season" so whether things are open or not is a bit of a crap shoot but the city remains lovely and walkable.

Obviously with large snowmobile trailers everywhere, its a little cramped. for parking. but its manageable.

"We loved staying here. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Even if the decor is outdated as some reviews mention, the rooms and property are immaculate! We’ve never stayed anywhere that every square inch of the room and bathroom were this clean. This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to downtown Grand Marais.
